Dilwale Movie Review:
Watch it only for SRK and Kajol.
Dilwale is a family drama and a romcom produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Rohit Shetty Productions. Yunus Sajawal story is filled with music, dance, action, comedy and emotions. The story line is filled with masala catered to youth and masses. Shah Rukh Khan looked really sharp, handsome, stylish and performed his role with ease. Kajol looks ravishing and does an excellent job as Meera. Kali and Meera’s romance scenes are intense and their chemistry is fabulous. Varun Dhawan’s performance is engaging. Kriti Sanon looks very pretty. Veer and Ishita’s romance is fresh and modern.
King’s sequences are very funny and Boman Irani does a full justice to his role. Johnny Lever as Mani Bhai makes audience laugh with his hindi dialogues spoken in southern style. Oscar Bhai’s comedy is superb and Sanjay Mishra’s pace of delivering the comedy is commendable.
Rohit Shetty’s direction is excellent. Amar Mohile’s background score is superb. Pritam Chakraborthy’s music is good. ‘Janam Janam’ and ‘Gerua’ are melodious and catchy, all other songs are ok. Actions scenes and stunts are good and appeal to the masses. The locations in Bulgaria are wonderfully captured. Song choreography is good could have been better. The film was edited effectively. Car’s were a big part of the movie and couple of blowing up and tossing of these are a routine in Shetty’s films.
On the whole Dilwale is an entertainer from start to finish even though the story is quite routine. The story seemed to be dragging at times.
